Economical, no frills Mexican restaurant, serving delicious, homey food. You order at the counter. The menu is overhead. and then you sit and they bring out the food on a platter. They do have Mexican sodas and some canned beers, but they do not do fancy drinks. We're regulars. The food is that good and the price is that reasonable that we come on a weekly basis. We often crave it. The menu isn't huge, but it hits all the right notes - even the picky eaters in our group find a few options to please them. A lot of their business appears to be pick up orders. That's another option, if you don't feel like eating on-site.

We really enjoyed eating here on our vacation. We all thought it was excellent food and service. You order your food and pay. Then go find a table. The place had a great friendly vibe with fun decor. The portions were huge. I could only eat two of my four tacos. The ingredients were so fresh and well prepared. The salsa and chips were very tasty.

I grew up in California, although I have lived in the greater Seattle area for 25 years and I have always been frustrated that there wasn't a whole lot of even good-quality Mexican food, let alone great. (Yes, you can call me a snob.) Even now, I can only think of 2-3 in Seattle that I really like. To have now discovered one in Poulsbo of all places--where I moved four years ago--is life-changing! This place is incredible. Lovely people and the food is fantastic. I got the four-taco plate with four different kinds of meat and all were excellent. I am so excited that this place is 10 minutes from home and I can't wait to try everything on the menu!

Brief Line Up Front: Even after a decade, this place still rocks. The chips and salsa bar is gone but the great prices, good food and homey atmosphere is still there. Saturday is Posole day, a rich pork hominy soup of awesomeness done once a week served with potato tacos.... Greatness.... The rest of the week I go for lengua tacos. Lengua is cubed beef tongue that tastes like great prime rib... better than any beef dish on the menu I promise.... Soft, tender and flavor packed.

I'd been meaning to try this place out for awhile after reading the great reviews. I pulled in around noon today and the place was starting to fill up. I got lucky and was able to order and find a seat before the lunch crowd poured in. I ordered the California burrito with carne asada and added guacamole and sour cream because well, why not?! Grabbed a bag of the carrots and jalapeños too (yum)! Red and Green sauces both legit. Had to start with that since I'm a huge hot sauce fan boy. Cali burrito was massive when received. I prayed it'd be good. Heaven answered my prayers! This bad boy burrito lived up to the hype...perfect consistency and texture of the fries to the carne asada. Just the right of cheese, guacamole, and sour cream to round it out and make the flavors come alive. Tried half with the green sauce and half with the red sauce. Both equally delicious. This place is FIRE and I'll be back!

It's just always good. The tacos are great! My husband even liked the chili relleno and he never likes them. The pepper was nice and thick and meaty. Can't go wrong with a burrito! The chicken is quite flavorful, moist and nice meat- not at all grizzly. This time we split a burrito that had sauce and cheese on it instead of handheld. Very good! I wish their beans and rice were more exciting, unique. Beans aren't bad, just wish they had some whole beans and maybe spice. Its the rice that's just plain tasteless. Yes, it's just rice, but have you had Chipotle's rice??? Prices are reasonable. People are nice. Food is good, and fast, too.
